November 2006: Creators approach Executive Producer and Reality TV legend Ted Haimes with pitch. He buys it.
Early 2007: Development begins.
February 2007: Following his success on Survivor: Marquesas and Survivors: All-Stars, “Boston” Rob Mariano signs on as host. article
June 30, 2007: Casting begins in Dallas with host Rob Mariano and casting producer Tad Frank on hand to select top candidates. video
September 11, 2007: All casting officially closed.
October 29, 2007: Finalists notified and flown to Hollywood for final interviews.
November 15, 2007: Final cast of 15 locked and under contract.
November 21, 2007: Production crew arrives at first location to prep and build sets. video
December 1, 2007: Contestants arrive and begin orientation.
December 7, 2007: Production immediately halts.
December 12, 2007: Production suspended indefinitely.
